California woman dies of water intoxication

I read this newspaper article in the January 16th issue of the Free Lance Star. I couldn't believe it was possible to die from drinking too much water. It amazes me that two radio stations and a fraternity all held these types of water drinking contests and didn't check with medical professionals to verify the safety of those involved.
